3 Wheel Double Buggy

Our tester Claire was impressed by the clean packaging, easy-to-open and thought it was one of the quickest and easiest pieces of baby gear to put together. She took it out to explore some rough terrain and was thrilled with its performance.

Seats
The majority of triple buggies start life as single pushchairs. However, some can convert to take an additional seat or carrycot by converting adapters (these are more commonly found in tandem buggies). You'll also find that some models let you include a ride-onboard for older children who would like to walk but require a little help.
If you're looking for a lightweight option that is ideal for city streets, check out the Joie Evalite Duo. It's easy to maneuver and comes with a deep basket with plenty of storage space. It can hold twins as young as birth and accommodate two car seats as well as a carrycot and seat. The seats are required to face forwards and there's not enough space to store a bag of groceries underneath, so you'll need a sidepack for that.
If you're looking to take off-road trips then the Mountain Buggy Duet is a excellent choice. It's a side-by- tandem with the most compact footprint of any double buggy available. It is easier to get through narrow doors on public transport, and to climb over and over kerbs. It also has a handbrake that is attached to the handlebar that can be adjusted for more security and safety.
The UPPAbaby vista 2 double is another lightweight option that is suitable for twins or a baby and toddler. The seats have a multi-position reclining with UPF 50plus sunshades. The canopy can be adjusted so that the sun does not reach your child's eyes. The Vista 2 can even be transformed into a triple with the addition of UPPAbaby's 'PiggyBack board designed for mobile older kids.
The iCandy Orange is one of the most sought-after double buggies that are available, thanks to its superb comfort. It's a true all-terrain pushchair with soft suspension that makes light work of bumpy surfaces. It has 30 different seating options as well as a built-in table for older children who prefer to walk, and a 'cinema mode that raises the back seat for better visibility.
The phil&teds dots are fantastic single buggys that can be easily modified to take two (or three!) Multiple configurations are possible. This is especially helpful if you have a baby in a car. The frame can be fitted to a wedgie that allows for the best lie-flat position. Also, car seat adapters that can be used with various brands.
Suspension
The quality of the suspension in a 3 wheel double buggy is crucial to how it is easy for you and your baby to push. A smooth ride is essential because babies feel every bump in the road, especially if it's in rough terrain such as grass or dirt roads. Some models also have front wheels that lock to assist with maneuvering and getting over obstacles such as curbs.
Some models have tyres with air filled which are ideal for all-terrain riding, but they are prone to punctures. Be sure to keep a spare set of tyres inside the trunk. Certain models come with gel-filled or foam-filled tyres which are designed to absorb bumps. They are less likely to puncture, however they could be uncomfortable for your child if they choose to jog.

MFM reviewer Kath tested the Urban Glide 2 with her three-year-old and newborn, and found it to be exceptionally adept on terrains that are difficult to traverse. "It was able to effortlessly navigate sidewalks and grass cobbles, dirt, and tracks. It was also easy for me to navigate around corners and get up or down kerbs." It's also very comfortable to jog, with the 16" rear wheels and lockable swivel front wheel that provide a steady jogging experience." Folding
A three-wheel double buggy could be folded up neatly for storage. There are models that fold flat and then stand up (as if they were in a pushchair) and also ones that pop out to reveal more of an umbrella-like fold that has an electric brake. In general, the more wheels a buggy comes with, the easier it will be to maneuver on rough terrain. This is especially true if the wheels are larger than average. This will give you more stability and make it less likely that your children will fall over or tip over.

This is a lightweight compact model that folds easily with one hand. It is perfect to take on trips. It's compatible with a wide selection of infant car seats and has a handy pull-out undercarriage basket that can be used to store items. It's on the costly side, but has some distinctive features that make it an excellent option for value, such as its easy one-click fold and a host of other features including a bumper bar and raincover.
Stores
Many people are amazed by the capacity of storage offered by a 3 wheel double buggy. Certain models, like the Roma Atlas offer a generously-sized basket and 2 handy zip pockets in the hood to keep your keys and phone easily accessible. It's also designed to handle slightly rough terrain making it a go od option for family walks and all-terrain hikes.
Other models, such as the UPPAbaby Vista 2, offer plenty of room and the flexibility to transport twins or two toddlers and a child. (This is made possible by their 'PiggyBack' board). It's the smallest side-byside double on the market. It also features impressive technology, including LED lights for visibility which are located on both sides of the frame to improve safety during low-light conditions.
For something a little different you can choose the Joie Evalite Duo is a lightweight buggy that can accommodate twins from birth (it's open to the world and features a lie flat position). The clever frame can be expanded to accommodate the additional seat but it still only weighs in at around 11kg, making it easy to lift and manoeuvre. It can be used with the car seat, a carrycot, or both. This lets you enjoy the best of both worlds.
